With great pleasure, Uppsala Auktionskammare presents a special auction featuring 53 paintings by Ulf Trotzig – the expressionist of nature. The collection, with provenance from the artist’s estate, spans over Ulf Trotzig’s fascinating artistic career from the 1950s to the 2010s. With an incredible sense of power and energy, Trotzig filled his vast canvases, capturing his subjects with sweeping, long brushstrokes in an intensely vibrant colour palette. Trees, birds, and humans are recurring themes throughout the decades, and like no other, Ulf Trotzig has captured and conveyed nature’s strongest emotions with true expressiveness. The collection will be offered for sale during an evening auction at Nybrogatan 20 in Stockholm on March 6.
