Finally, we have released the first auction catalogue of the season! As always our Decorative Sales offer qualitative and decorative pieces within different fields and for every collector. Within the art department you will find paintings, sculptures and prints by artists such as Olof Hermelin, Nils Kölare, Josefina Holmlund, Fernand Léger, Pablo Picasso, Eugène Jansson, Madeleine Pyk and Olle Baertling. The department of Modern design is filled with exciting furniture and design objects by both Swedish and International designers, especially worth mentioning is the pair of pink armchairs with footrests ”Karin Hög” by Bruno Mathsson. Our auction also offers a wide range of highly qualitative classical furniture, classical applied art, jewellery and watches, Asian objects, rugs, silver objects as well as Russian art and Russian applied art. The catalogue has now been published and it contains a wide range of exciting objects for every taste and collector!
This time, you will find several lovely classical furnitures as well as a great variety of modern design pieces. Among the classical furnitures, the Folklore cabinet from Uppland and the cabinet in late baroque are particularly outstanding. The auction also presents many stunning artworks from different periods – do not miss compositions by André Beaudin, Richard Ansdell, André Abbal, Lars Erik Falk, Lowell Nesbitt, Dan Wolgers, Niki de Saint-Phalle and Liss Eriksson among others. As always, you will also find high qualitative carpets, asian objects, jewellery and watches, classical ceramics and glass, modern glass pieces, silver as well as Russian art and Russian applied art objects.

The Classic Sale includes highly qualitative art, furniture and applied art from prominent collections. Highlights in the sale are Alexander Roslin’s portrait of the Russian Count Nikita Ivanovitj Panin, Anders Zorn’s “Vått” and Johan Tobias Sergel’s portrait medallion in marble of King Gustav III in profile. Paintings and sculptures by artists such as Ilya Yefimovich Repin, Aristide Maillol, Bartolomeo Cavaceppi, Peder Mønsted, Frits Thaulow among others are found in the catalogue. A great silver department stands out, as well as highly qualitative furniture, applied art, bronze objects, textiles, glass, jewellery and watches. Particularly outstanding is an important gold enamel box by Frantz Bergs as well as a Fabergé hardstone figure of a bull.
The Modern & Contemporary Sale offers a great variety of exciting art- and design objects. Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel’s extremely rare “Kanapé” chair is one of the leading lots within the design department, as well as the fantastic pair of candlesticks by Anna Petrus and Erik Fleming’s gold bowl. The international department stands out with important works such as Keith Haring’s iconic work “Absolut Vodka”, Serge Poliakoff’s “Composition abstraite” and Andy Warhol’s “Flowers”. Paintings, sculptures and design objetcts by Antoni Tàpies, André Lanskoy, Henri Hayden, Jean Chauvin, Georg Jensen, Josef Frank, Lynn Chadwick, Louise Bourgeois, Francis Newton Souza, Marc Chagall, Roberto Matta are also included in the sale.
The Asian Sale includes a wide range of lacquer objects, textiles, services, scrolls, porcelain objetcs, buddhas, bronzes and paintings for every collector. The extremely rare imperial lacquer box and cover covers the catalogue and bears provenance from the collector Wladimir Simon Semcesen. Other highlights include two ink paintings, signed Xu Beihong respectively Liu Guosong, from an important Swedish-American collection, as well as an imposing large bronze bell on wood stand from the collection of Swedish civil engineer Einar Wikander. The extremely rare dragon dish is also one of the top objects this auction, unusually large and with provenance from the Swedish engineer Holger Rosell.
