The Important sales at Uppsala Auktionskammare take place twice a year, normally during the first week in June and the first week in December. Our Important sale includes the best of what the market has to offer in terms of fine art, antiques and design as well as Asian works of art. High quality is the central term both for the lots and the service we provide at the Important Sale. The value of the lots at these auctions vary from 10.000 SEK a lot up to 10 million SEK.
The Important sale is an international market place for Old Master Paintings, Russian Art and Silver, Asian objects and International Modern Art & Design. About 70 % of the lots at these auctions are purchased by our international clients. At the Important sale we also offer Swedish top-quality items such as furniture by the master Georg Haupt and art by classical artists like Anders Zorn and prominent artists in Modern Art such as Isaac Grünewald.
The Important sale takes place during four days and includes the following departments: Modern art, Modern design, Classic and Asian. Each department has an exclusive printed catalogue. Our Important sales have become widely recognized, both nationally and internationally and attract a wide range of clients.
Every year we conduct several Decorative sales. With an emphasis on decorative objects, these auctions offer about 1000 lots per auction with values that often varies between 2.000 – 30.000 SEK per item always with an emphasis on high quality. Our Decorative sale includes furniture and antiques from the 17th and 18th centuries and onwards, Asian objects, jewellery, silver, porcelain, glass, mirrors, chandeliers and art from all time periods.
