ORDER OF SALES


13 June – Modern & Contemporary Sale

The auction promises an exciting selection of Modern and Contemporary art and design objects from prominent collections. The highlights of the sale include a multi-coloured landscape “Paysage Cézannien” by Maurice de Vlaminck and Henri Laurens’ stunning bronze sculpture “Femme au miroir”. Included in the sale are several important paintings, watercolours and sculptures by artists such as Hervé Télémaque, Jean Metzinger, Françoise Gilot, Joan Miró, Karel Appel, Antoni Tàpies, Serge Poliakoff, Édouard Marcel Sandoz, Tadeusz Kantor, Maurice Estève, Antoni Clavé and Victor Vasarely. In this sale we are pleased to offer important contemporary works by artists such as Pierre Soulages, Jockum Nordström, Nathalie Djurberg and Klara Lidén. Classic Sale – 14 June

The sale presents a wide range of highly qualitative furniture, applied art, silver, art, jewellery pieces, textiles and faiences. Included the sale are highlights such as the important Horizontal dial dated 1591 with the provenance of Pope Clement VIII (1536-1605), Anders Zorn’s “Vallkullans söndag” and the cover of the catalogue – Carl Larsson’s idyllic ”Nerium”. Works of art by artists such as Anthonie Beerstraten, Jan Massijs, Auguste Renoir, Charles Despiau, Helene Schjerfbeck, Konstantin Makovsky, Boris M. Kustodiev and Konstantin Korovin are all to be found in this catalogue. The auction promises an impressive collection of international and Swedish furnitures by masters such as Olof Martin, Ephraim Ståhl and Nils Petter Stenström, a highlight is an important Louis XVI center table in the manner of David Roentgen. The sale also includes highly qualitative mirrors, chandeliers, candelabra, silver, faiances, textiles, jewellery and Russian applied art.

Asian Sale – 15 June

As one of the leading auction houses in Scandinavia for Asian art, Uppsala Auktionskammare presents an exciting catalogue for every collector’s taste. Included in this seasons Asian Sale are important ceramics, textiles, bronzes, objects in jade, jewellery pieces, lacquer items and scrolls from several prominent Swedish private collections. The exquisite taste of collectors such as Erik Nyström  (1889‑1963), Wilhelm Montelius (1852-1918), James Keiller (1867-1962) and Axel Lagrelius (1863‑1944) are shown through rare and highly qualitative works of art.
