Classic & Asian Sale

This season’s Classic Sale offers fantastic objects from several important private collections! Some of the highlights include Carl Larsson’s ”Suzanne vid förstubron”, the magnificent ”Lapporten i grönska” by Helmer Osslund, Julia Beck’s ”Solreflektioner och dimslöjor över näckrosdamm” and several important watercolours by John Bauer. The furniture and applied arts catalogue presents the rare and important bookshelf by Georg Haupt, a tricoteuse table attributed to Adam Weisweiler and the important late Gustavian garniture signed by Fredric Ludvig Rung. Many exciting objects can be found in the collection of art dealer Tore Gerschman including an important chest of drawers by Lorentz Nordin as well as Old Masters. The sale aslo includes a wide range of jewellery and watches, silver, carpets, Russian art and applied arts.

The Asian Sale this season presents a large number of items from significant Swedish Private Collections. From the collection of Holger Rosell is the unusual blue and white “Shou” vase which is one of the highlights of the sale. Perhaps the most prominent collection of Asian objects this season is Wilfrid Fleisher’s, which includes exciting objects from different eras. One of the most outstanding pieces in the collection of Wilfrid Fleisher is the unusual teapot from the Qing period in turquoise glaze. Enjoy a magnificent collection of Cornelis Pronk’s designed plates from the collection of art dealer Tore Gerschman, as well as jade and famille rose objects such as the magnificent Chinese fish bowl from around 1740. Other highlights are the two bears in bronze, a seated Budai in bronze and the catalogue’s eye-catching cover – the Tibetan stupa.
